x YouTube VideoAfter watching the Nuremberg 2016 speech, er, Donald Trump’s latest speech on immigration, I am going to speak for many of us here at Daily Kos when I ask…
Are you now convinced? Do you really want to vote for Jill Stein and risk the chance of getting that neo-fascist elected?
Donald Trump now wants patriotism taught in the classroom. Great. Yet another excuse for priviledged white kids to beat on those “beneath” them in school. Yet another way for him to get back at his enemies-a list that is growing by the day.
What’s next? Loyalty oaths? Witch hunts? Internment camps? (Don’t rule it out. We have a Supreme Court seat to fill.)
This stuff is now getting beyond scary.
I was talking to a friend of mine and Bernie supporter about a week or so ago. He’s a great guy. A tremendous liberal. He will be voting for Hillary, but he does have his issues.
He wondered allowed what would happen if Trump did get elected. He thought (correctly so) that it would be an utter failure and then someone like Bernie could get elected in 2020. He is single with no kids and he said. “There really isn't a risk with me. I can easily get a job anywhere. I have no one else to worry about but me." But, he understood my point of view of a person who is married with two kids and said that for me he will be voting for Hillary and I thanked him for that.
You know, I know that is something that you Bernie or Busters fantasize about. You think that it will all settle out with some pain, but that you won’t really be affected so why worry about who gets the White House?
I politely disagreed with him about why he should vote for her. I told him that the damage would be immense. During a Trump administration I truly believe that we will have another war or more than one (Frankly, I don’t think a border war with Mexico is out of the question.) Many people would die. I even intoned what Joe Scarborough said about Donald when he was told by someone who had met with him over national security…
"Several months ago, a foreign policy expert on the international level went to advise Donald Trump. And three times [Trump] asked about the use of nuclear weapons. Three times he asked at one point if we had them why can't we use them," Scarborough said on his "Morning Joe" program.
I know that this sounds a bit off, but I do think that it is not impossible to imagine that Donald would try to use them in some foreign policy scenarios. The problem is that in order to have that kind of leverage your audience also has to be afraid of the consequences and in the region of the world where I think that Donald Trump thinks he can get away with this, the people of said region as stated by Lord John Marbury years ago…"do not share our fear of the bomb.” However, in Donald Trump’s mind he thinks that everyone needs to fear him. That is what he sells effectively. If he feels backed into a corner who knows what he will do. That is what I told my friend. That is one reason he should vote for Hillary.
Whenever I see Donald Trump, all I can think of is this verse from The Bible. It comes in a bit. You’ll recognize it.

You guys still want to vote for Jill Stein?
