I am in Love with Joy Reid

As many of you know, Joy Reid has taken over the spot that was vacated by the wonderful Melissa Harris-Perry with her show “AM Joy”. I have been hesitant about going back to this timeslot because I believe that Ms. Harris-Perry was treated horrendously by MSNBC. I do like the fact that Joy Reid took over and that is why occasionally I go back and check to see how it’s going.

Today is the reason you should make this appointment television.

Go here and watch the segment entitled “AM Joy presses Trump advisor on Putin relationship.”

www.msnbc.com/…

There is a section in this segment where Boris Epshteyn, advisor (paid shill or maybe not) for Trump, started to point discussion towards Hillary Clinton in trying to slam her. That’s when Joy decided enough was enough. It is about time.

She pointed out a syllogism.

In logic, a syllogism is a form of deductive reasoning consisting of a major premise, a minor premise, and a conclusion. Adjective: syllogistic. Also known as a categorical argument or a standard categorical syllogism.

Here is an example of a valid categorical syllogism:

Major premise: All mammals are warm-blooded. Minor premise: All black dogs are mammals. Conclusion: Therefore, all black dogs are warm-blooded.

grammar.about.com/...

Her syllogism was the following:

“If I ask you a question about Donald Trump, and you give me an answer about Hillary Clinton, I think it’s fair for the people who come to watch me on this show to come to the conclusion that a) You don't know the answer to the question. b) The answer to my question would not help your candidate, so you don’t want to give it or c) you are not hear to answer my question you are here to give talking points about your candidate.”

She also kept cutting him off whenever he tried to interrupt an actual expert in foreign intelligence, Malcolm Nance, whenever Mr. Nance made a cogent point.

Boris kept going cross-talking whenever Mr. Nance tried to make intelligent, informed conversation (because Trump folks can’t handle the truth), but Joy would have none of it.

She owned him. She basically ripped him a new one. And it was beautiful.

I wish the rest of the media would take notes. However, I am not that hopeful.
