Sweet Jesus. There's always a tape (or tapes)

The Washington Post has just reported that the FBI’s raid on Michael Cohen’s home, office and hotel room might have included tape recordings that Mr. Cohen made with...we are not sure yet.

I guess the Mr. Cohen is known to have made tapes and stored copies of them on his computer as .wav or .avi files. (Who knows, maybe there are better amplified .mp3 files. You never know.)

President Trump’s personal attorney Michael D. Cohen sometimes taped conversations with associates, according to three people familiar with his practice, and allies of the president are worried that the recordings were seized by federal investigators in a raid of Cohen’s office and residences this week.

Add to this that the President had a meeting with Assistant District Attorney Rod Rosenstein (To try to clear some things up, I guess?). It was thought that the meeting did not go well.

The White House said the meeting was arranged to discuss “routine [Justice] Department business.”

”Trump meets with Rosenstein at the White House” BY JORDAN FABIAN - 04/12/18 02:11 PM EDT

Uh-huh.

During “Hardball with Chris Matthews”, his guests confirmed that the meeting did happen and that it was more of an opportunity to smooth things over. They all reported that it wasn’t very successful. They all theorized that Rosenstein would be fired after whatever it is we’re going to do about Syria is done. I’ll see if I can update this with a segment from that show later.

Well, the ancient curse is upon us. “May you live in interesting times.”
